a real classic car

At Jenny and Stefans Vaxholm wedding they had an american classic , a convertible Chrysler Cabriolet . This truly is one of Stockholms best bröllopstransport . I had met Joakim before with this great wedding car or bröllopsbilar when there were 30 plus classic cars driving through Stockholm from a wedding in Gamla Stan , all parked outside the Royal Palace. This weekend though it was in the north of Stockholm , Vaxholm . The Chrysler looked great as it pulled into Vaxholm Tornvilla . Here are a few photos more to come.brollop-classic-car

Saturday’s wedding we hit temperature highs, the sun shines and the wonderful warmth outside. For Jenny and Stefan we had incredible weather, you would of thought it was Pingst this past weekend I saw four brides in an hour .. luckily I was only the wedding photographer at one of them. Now it is Pingst weekend again this coming Saturday the weekend of weddings in sweden pingst weekend. The big wedding week.

Swedish wedding customs. Every bride and groom from overseas that I meet that are getting married in Sweden. I warn them about two things ‘ the kiss ‘ and ‘ the wedding cake’ . For english, american , australian brides and grooms that are marrying a swedish half … they all think you will hear the words ‘ you may kiss the bride ‘ .. and see a wedding cake at the reception. Well I just saw this on wikipedia .. so now its official

Its no secret that this wedding photographer in stockholm loves wakeboarding , so what do i do on a day off from photographing weddings ? I went to ‘ Wake Up Stockholm ‘ an Oneill event in the center of stockholm. My son Nick is an avid wakeboarder and has just been accepted to the Wakeboard Gymnasium ( college ) in Fagersta to start in August well thats the good news , the bad news is that I lose my best assistant for when i work photographing weddings this summer. I took one of these photo Nick took the other any guess’s who is who’s photograph.

Grand Hotel Stockholm Sweden

Grand Hotel Stockholm really is an international 5 star hotel to have a wedding in Sweden. Just this week two couples I have met who are having their wedding at this venue. I decided to make a photo slideshow of some of my fave photographs , I came across this series of photos of Maria getting ready at the bridal suite at the Grand. Maria jumping on the bed will always be etched in my memory.
